Daniel Toderas is a Romanian classical pianist who is a recent graduate from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where he studied keyboard with Joan Havill. He was born in Romania and moved to Scotland in 2014 where he studied piano with Peter Evans at the Aberdeen City Music School, and has been living in the UK ever since. He has won a number of prizes in music competitions both in Romania and UK, such competitions include the Romania National Music Olympics where he achieved first place, Oxford Piano Competition coming in third place in the final. Daniel has also been a finalist in the 2019 Edinburgh Concerto Competition where he performed Prokofiev’s 1st Piano Concerto which was his debut concert with orchestra. He had his debut solo recital in France in the summer of 2021, which was a delightful start to his soloistic career. Other concerts in Europe and in the UK include performing at the Cowdray Hall in Aberdeen, the Gershwin Concerto in F with the Edinburgh Symphony Orchestra in 2022, the Prokofiev 3rd piano concerto in Edinburgh 2023, and numerous recitals in Romania.
